Aim for better, not perfection.

With our busy lives balancing work, family, and home, plus the “fun” added layer of COVID-19, it can seem daunting to prioritize yet another item like rehabilitation exercises or exercise in general. As well, depending on your baseline function compared to your goals, this can seem like a lot of work. Sometimes when a goal seems unattainable, it can be difficult to even start the process. ⠀

My best advice is to set aside at least 𝟭𝟱 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝗱𝗮𝘆 to complete your exercise of choice. Whether it's a brisk walk, a workout video, or your rehab exercises, it will pay off in your recovery and overall health. Once you prioritize and build the habit, it will become manageable to find the time. Before you know it, the 15 minutes easily becomes 20 or 30 minutes. And if you miss a day here or there, that’s ok. This is what I personally practise.⠀

And you don't have to be exhausted or drenched in sweat with each session - 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙖𝙞𝙢 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙤𝙫𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙙𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙟𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙮.⠀

Consistency is the key to results, and any effort is better than none at all.
