No matter the sport, to avoid re-injury and maximize performance, my clients master the following before we proceed to agility and sport-specific exercises:
full mobility throughout the kinetic chain
core stability
max strength across all joints
control in all planes and angles
if they can do basics well, then more dynamic drills and field/court/ice work will be a breeze and we won’t have to worry about new or old injuries.
