I have a new pain, should I worry?

Aside from a traumatic episode (ie a fall) with significant pain, most times you don’t need to panic, especially if the answer is “yes” to the following:

  • Do you have most of your range of motion

  • Can you still do most day to day activities

  • Do you have normal sensation and temperature

  • Has your pain improved at all

  • Do you have pain-free moments

  • Are you able to walk

But when in doubt - see a Physiotherapist first. We screen for many many conditions and can help you decide whether you need to see a doctor or get imaging (very often these aren’t necessary nor would it change your treatment plan).

You don’t need a referral to see us, and we can often get you in quickly. So don’t wait around, come see me!
